Ham and Cheese Kataifi Slice

Ingredients

375g Kataifi Pastry
200g butter, melted
150g mozzarella cheese, grated
200g cheddar cheese, grated
150g parmesan cheese, grated
250g double smoked ham, coarsley chopped

Method

Remove your Kataifi Pastry from the fridge and bring it up to room temperature in its packaging.

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a 33cm x 23cm rectangular baking dish with butter.

Combine the three cheeses in a bowl and mix well.

Place the Kataifi in a large bowl and pour the butter over it. Mix well with your hands ensuring each strand is coated well. Spread half of the Kataifi into the baking dish.

Add 1 and 1/2 cups of the cheese mixture on top of the Kataifi base. Lay the ham over the cheese. Top with another 1 and 1/2 cups of the cheese mixture. Place the remaining Kataifi over the pie.

Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese. Bake for 20 minutes. Cover with foil and bake for a further 20 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve immediately.
