Method
For this Filo Pastry recipe, you will need to preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Start by taking one sheet of filo pastry, brushing generously with butter. Cut the Fillo into 4 squares and proceed to lay each square in a 12cm ramekin to form a star shape.
Repeat with another sheet of filo pastry to create a second layer. Fold any overhanging fillo inside the bowl to keep neat. Brush generously with extra butter.
Repeat this process to make as many fillo bowls as desired.
Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 mins until golden brown.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving and allowing your guests to build their own fillo bowl, just the way they like.
We’ve created a Lamb gyros filling, but the possibilities are endless. Why not try a Mexican burrito bowl!
