How to make Kataifi Pastry discs

  1. Before you begin this Kataifi Pastry recipe, take your Kataifi Pastry out of the fridge and allow it to come up to room temperature in its packaging.

  2. Preheat oven to 210 deg. Celsius.

  3. Place Kataifi in a large bowl. Separate strands with your fingers and tear Kataifi into shorter strands.

  4. Pour butter over the Kataifi and massage through until all the strands are evenly coated using your fingers.

  5. Place a small amount of the Kataifi into each cup of the baking pan, filling each one until the Kataifi is evenly distributed between 24 cups.

  6. Press each disc down. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until the discs are golden.

  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
